1 June 2017 – AGR Dynamics has been awarded a grant from The Icelandic Centre for Research, specifically the Technology Development Fund, for the development of their new supply chain management solution for Merchandise Planning under the project name AGR Sibyl (AGR Völvan).
AGR Dynamics has built a long-established reputation for ensuring the right amount of product is in the right place at the right time, and they are now developing a tool kit solution, specifically designed to enable retailers and wholesalers to plan and manage their product ranges from initial conception to end of life effectively and profitably. The fully integrated, modular Merchandise Planning Solution is built on well proven best practice processes and covers the entire pre-season planning and in-season management process from initial financial planning through to product selection and ranging, allocation and replenishment and final clearance.
“The grant is a definite prerequisite for us to commit resources into this exciting development project,” says Haukur Þór Hannesson, Managing Director of AGR Dynamics. “We have seen a big gap in the market for such a solution and see many opportunities in continuing our developing into machine learning processes to assist retailers with their decision making.”
