The AGR Nordic team is getting bigger! The office in Copenhagen has welcomed two new employees, as well as adding their first employee in Norway!

Torstein Rønaas (Roenaas) aka TR joined AGR Nordic on the 15th of January 2019. He studied marketing at California State University, Fresno back in the early eighties. Torstein is married, has a 23-year-old son, and lives in Heggedal – approximately 30 kilometers southwest of Oslo, Norway. He has been marketing and selling software in Norway for the past 30 years, including patient record systems, document management system, enterprise and asset management (EAM) system and lastly a Polish forecasting solution. Torstein’s favorite hobby is photography, and he enjoys cooking and spending time with friends and family.

Brynja Rut Blöndal graduated with a B.Sc. in Engineering Management from Reykjavík University in June 2017, having taken one year as an exchange student in UPF, Barcelona. She started her MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management at DTU in Copenhagen fall 2017. Brynja worked at Ísam for two summers, where she was introduced to the AGR system. She began working for AGR, in a part-time job, January 2019 while writing her master thesis. In her master thesis, she is using machine learning to make predictions of demand during sales promotions. She will complete her degree in July and start as a full-time consultant in the Nordic office in August. Brynja loves to spend time with her friends and family, doing outdoor activities and travel.

Gunnar Þorlákur Þórsson  graduated with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Iceland and then with a M.Sc in Industrial Engineering focusing on Operation Research from DTU this February. In Denmark, he has interned at the Danish pharmaceutical company, Novo Nordisk and been a TA in Financial Engineering. Gunnar wrote his thesis in collaboration with the Advanced Analytics team at the energy company Ørsted, and worked with Machine Learning and optimization, creating a model to minimize their cost and emission. He started working with with AGR Nordic in March. Gunnar is interested in most sports, enjoys traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
