AGR Dynamics Q1 Newsletter 2016

AGR Dynamics is born..

Just a quick heads-up for everyone that we have changed our name slightly. As we announced last year, we merged with Reynd, a local Icelandic Microsoft NAV reseller, who added their Dynamics skillset to the mix of experience and talent we can offer customers. Naturally, our ability to work even more closely with the Dynamics product set is enhanced by this pairing, and we thought it right to reflect that in our new company name.

While the name is different, AGR Dynamics promises the same software innovation and the same high levels of customer serice that you have come to expect.

SpaceNK Go Live on 5

Well, AGR version 5.1 to be precise. Having been operating on AGR 4 for 5 years, SpaceNK decided the time was right to uplift their system to the latest version of AGR.

The perfume and cosmetics retailer originally chose AGR for their inventory optimisation solution back in 2010. After careful planning, they decided the time was right to upgrade both their AGR installation and their version of Dynamics NAV. The plan set a go live with AGR 5.1 at the beginning of March.  This was done with users seeing a smooth transition with no downtime for their forecasting and planning system.

The new version allowed them to take advantage of the new functionality on offer in Version 5.1, including the web-enabled architecture that allows the flexible delivery of the solution to users anywhere, wherever they want to work. It also gave them the ability to group products together in ways that suit the approach they want to take to forecasting and planning.

They also took advantage of the upgrade process to extend the use of AGR across their entire supply chain, including store replenishment, rather than just for the purchasing aspects covered by AGR prior to the upgrade. The subsequent upgrade of their ERP system to Dynamics NAV 2013, carried out by their Microsoft ERP partner, The NAV People, went smoothly over the Easter break and now both systems are delivering the additional functionality the business was looking to get.

Next step for SpaceNK is to roll the AGR solution out across their US operation, something they plan to make happen in the next three months.
